A business analyst plays a critical role in the delivery of client projects. Working under the direction of a project manager, consultant or partner, the business analyst conducts primary or secondary research related to clients' environmental and social responsibility performance issues.  This research is typically utilized to help clients understand performance related to industry standards or peers, leading to the development of performance improvement roadmaps. Typical assignments for a business analyst can include a support role throughout a client project lifecycle, such as having responsibilities for performing project specific tasks, capturing data and codifying information, and providing day-to-day assistance to the project leader.
